The bandoneon, invented in Germany and made famous in Argentina, gained worldwide popularity through the jazz recreations of Aztor Piazzola and his brand of "Tango Nuevo".
Nikolas Fehr studied the tango both in Detroit, MI and in Buenos Aires, Argentina and currently resides with his wife, Ioana Maria Precup, in Alesund, Norway where they are both Lutheran church organists and choir directors. Canadian born and Portland, OR raised Nikolas Fehr holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Accordion Performance from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI and both a Masters and Doctorate of Music in Pipe Organ Performance from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Romanian born and German educated Ioana Maria Precup has earned degrees in Romania, Germany and Sweden in Organ Performance and Church Music.
